Prof. Morten Meldal, the Chemistry Nobel Laureate in 2022, visited our lab during his visit to KAUST on November 9, 2023. Hosted by the office of PSE's dean, Prof. Meldal gave a talk about his adventure of exploring and finding molecular click chemistry as a part of the PSE Dean's Distinguished Seminar this semester. During her visit, Prof. Dana introduced him to our lab and the projects we are working on. The thing was more interesting since we also leveraged click chemistry to integrate our PNA probe with our biosensing system. We could not hide our excitement when Prof. Meldal was in our lab. As Duruo said, "OMG, this is my very first time to be so close with the Nobel Prize winner".
